Since one of our primary goals is to facilitate meaningful connections for you, the primary audience for the information that users share is, of course, other users. These service providers and partners help us in operating the services. Continue reading to learn more about how your information is shared with others and for what purposes.
With other users
When you voluntarily disclose information on the platform, the content that you provide may be seen by other users of the platform (including your gigs and portfolio). Please exercise caution about your information, and check to see that the content you share is the kind of thing with which you have no problem having it made public.
If someone files a report against you (for example, a claim that you violated our Terms of Use), we reserve the right to communicate to the person who filed the report the actions, if any, that we took as a direct result of their report.
With our service providers and partners
We rely on the assistance of outside parties to run and improve our services. These third parties assist us with a variety of tasks, including the hosting and maintenance of data, analytics, customer service, marketing, advertising, payment processing, and security operations. We also share information with partners who help us advertise and distribute our services and who distribute our services themselves. For example, we may share some limited information about you with our advertising partners, but that information will be hashed and not readable by humans.
Before we agree to work with any partner or engage any service provider, we put them through a rigorous screening process first. Our business partners and service providers are required to sign legally binding confidentiality agreements.
Marketing vendors
The term "measurement and marketing vendors" refers to businesses that offer support to Deexial and its advertisers about matters of marketing. They, for instance, handle the purchasing of advertisements on our behalf, conduct market research, and evaluate the efficiency of our various campaigns. These vendors also contribute to the advertising efforts of our Partners.
We may provide information about you to businesses that assist us in marketing our company and our products, determining how effective our marketing campaigns are, and conducting research regarding advertising. For instance, to provide you with advertisements that are more pertinent to your interests, we may share the identifier for your device or other identifiers with advertising vendors.
With our affiliates
Your information may be shared with affiliated companies for the limited and legitimate purposes that are outlined below:
for them to assist us in data processing operations as service providers, upon our instructions, and on our behalf; for them to make all of our platforms safer and enable us to address (for example, ban) bad actors found on one platform also on the others; for them to make money off of us. Their assistance may include technical processing operations such as data hosting and maintenance, customer care, marketing, targeted advertising, analytics, financial and accounting assistance, improving our service, securing our data and systems, and fighting against spam, abuse, fraud, infringement, and other types of illegal activities.
We may also share information with another Deexial platform for other legitimate business purposes, such as the auditing, analyzing, and reporting of consolidated corporate activities, when and where permitted to do so by applicable law.
Sharing functionality
Using the sharing functionality, you can share the gigs of other sellers with people who are not a part of our platform, and other buyers are also able to share your gigs for effective sales.

To enforce legal rights
In addition, we may disclose information in the following scenarios: (a) If doing so would reduce the potential or actual impact of a lawsuit against us; (b) if doing so is required to protect our legal rights as well as the legal rights of our users, business partners, or other interested parties; (c) if doing so is required to enforce the terms of our agreements with you; and (d) if doing so is required to investigate, prevent, or otherwise take action regarding illegal activity, suspected fraud.
With your consent or at your request
To share your information with third parties, we might ask for your permission first. If this occurs, we will explain the rationale behind our desire to disclose the information.
In any of the situations described above, we reserve the right to use and disclose both non-personal information (which we define as information that, by itself, does not identify who you are, such as information about your device, general demographics, general behavioral data, and geolocation in a form that does not reveal your precise location) and personal information that has been hashed and is not readable by humans. This information may also be shared with notable advertisers to develop and deliver targeted advertising on our platform as well as on the websites or applications of third parties, as well as to analyze and report on the advertising that you see. We reserve the right to combine this information with additional non-personal information or personal information obtained from other sources that have been hashed and are not in a form that is readable by humans. Our Cookie Policy provides further explanation of how we make use of cookies and other tracking technologies.
We may share the information that we collect, both personal and non-personal, with third parties such as advertisers, contest sponsors, promotional and marketing partners, and others who provide our content or whose products or services we think may interest you. We may also share it with our current and future affiliated companies and business partners, and if we are involved in a merger, asset sale, or other business reorganization, we may also share or transfer your personal and non-personal information to our successors-in-interest.
We may engage trusted third-party service providers to perform functions and provide services to us, such as hosting and maintaining our servers and the website, database storage and management, e-mail management, storage marketing, credit card processing, customer service, and fulfilling orders for products and services you may purchase through the website. We will likely share your personal information, and possibly some non-personal information, with these third parties to enable them to perform these services for us and you.
We may share portions of our log file data, including IP addresses, for analytics purposes with third parties such as web analytics partners, application developers, and ad networks. If your IP address is shared, it may be used to estimate general location and other technographics such as connection speed, whether you have visited the website in a shared location, and type of the device used to visit the website. They may aggregate information about our advertising and what you see on the website and then provide auditing, research, and reporting for us and our advertisers.
We may also disclose personal and non-personal information about you to government law enforcement officials or private parties as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate to respond to claims, legal processes (including subpoenas), to protect our rights and interests or those of a third party, the safety of the public or any person, to prevent or stop any illegal, unethical, or legally actionable activity, or to otherwise comply with applicable court orders, laws, rules, and regulations.
How do we secure personal data?
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data during transmission and storage. These measures include encryption, firewalls, access controls, regular security assessments, and staff training. To further ensure the safety of your information, we employ a variety of additional precautions. These are the following:
Encryption and security: We safeguard your information with a variety of preventative and detective steps. We protect the data of our users at all times by employing a comprehensive security program, which shields the information using safeguards such as encryption when it is being transmitted. We continually adapt and improve our security to stay one step ahead of the ever-evolving risks and threats to our safety that we are exposed to.
We do not provide any government with direct access or encryption "back doors" because we believe that intentionally weakening our services in this way would undermine the security that is necessary to protect people who use our global service. Strong policies: For a considerable amount of time, we have been operating under comprehensive policies that govern how we assess and respond to requests for user data that come from the government. We examine each request and only respond with information in response to those that we deem to be legitimate. Additionally, the information that we produce is only relevant to the extent that it is needed to fulfill the specific request.
Defending the rights of our customers: When government requests are flawed in some way (for example, because they are overly broad or because they violate the law), we push back and engage governments to address any apparent flaws. If it becomes necessary, we will argue against or deny unlawful requests from the government. We would also challenge any order that attempted to gag us from disclosing the existence of such an order and our efforts to fight it, as well as any order that sought to require us to redesign our systems in a way that would compromise the security we provide to protect people's data.
In the interest of providing transparency, we make every effort to be open and proactive regarding how we protect the online privacy, security, and access to information of individuals. For this reason, it is our policy to notify users of requests for their information before any disclosure, unless we are prohibited from doing so by law or in exceptional circumstances when notification would be counterproductive, such as when a child is at risk of being harmed. Exceptions to this policy include situations in which notification would be counterproductive, such as when a child is at risk of being harmed. Since we began this practice a few years ago, we have been publishing transparency reports on a biannual basis. These reports discuss the nature and scope of government requests for user data that we receive, and they include as much information as we can provide regarding the number of requests received under the law enforcement agency.
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or enter, submit, or access your personal information. We offer the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway providers database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, social security numbers, financials, etc.) is never kept on file. We cannot, however, ensure or warrant the absolute security of any information you transmit to Deexial or guarantee that your information on the Service may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by a breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards.
Where and when is information collected from end users?
Deexial will collect the personal information that you submit to us. We may also receive personal information about you from third parties as described above.
How Do We Use Your Email Address?
By submitting your email address on this website, you agree to receive emails from us. You can cancel your participation in any of these email lists at any time by clicking on the opt-out link or other unsubscribe options that are included in the respective email. We only send emails to people who have authorized us to contact them, either directly, or through a third party. We do not send unsolicited commercial emails, because we hate spam as much as you do. By submitting your email address, you also agree to allow us to use your email address for customer audience targeting on sites like Facebook, where we display custom advertising to specific people who have opted-in to receive communications from us. Email addresses submitted only through the order processing page will be used for the sole purpose of sending you information and updates about your order. If, however, you have provided the same email to us through another method, we may use it for any of the purposes stated in this Policy. Note: If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email.
Could my information be transferred to other countries?
Deexial is incorporated in Nigeria. Information collected via our website, through direct interactions with you, or from the use of our help services may be transferred from time to time to our offices or personnel, or third parties, located throughout the world, and may be viewed and hosted anywhere in the world, including countries that may not have laws of general applicability regulating the use and transfer of such data. To the fullest extent allowed by applicable law, by using any of the above, you voluntarily consent to the trans-border transfer and hosting of such information.
Is the information collected through the Deexial Service secure?
We take precautions to protect the security of your information. We have physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to help safeguard, prevent unauthorized access, maintain data security, and correctly use your information. However, neither people nor security systems are foolproof, including encryption systems. In addition, people can commit intentional crimes, make mistakes, or fail to follow policies. Therefore, while we use reasonable efforts to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. If applicable law imposes any non-disclaimable duty to protect your personal information, you agree that intentional misconduct will be the standard used to measure our compliance with that duty.
Can I update or correct my information?
The rights you have to request updates or corrections to the information Deexial collects depend on your relationship with Deexial. Personnel may update or correct their information as detailed in our internal company employment policies.

Such updates, corrections, changes, and deletions will have no effect on other information that we maintain or information that we have provided to third parties by this Privacy Policy before such update, correction, change, or deletion. To protect your privacy and security, we may take reasonable steps (such as requesting a unique password) to verify your identity before granting you profile access or making corrections. You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your unique password and account information at all times.
You should be aware that it is not technologically possible to remove every record of the information you have provided to us from our system. The need to back up our systems to protect information from inadvertent loss means that a copy of your information may exist in a non-erasable form that will be difficult or impossible for us to locate. Promptly after receiving your request, all personal information stored in databases we actively use, and other readily searchable media will be updated, corrected, changed, or deleted, as appropriate, as soon as and to the extent reasonably and technically practicable.
If you are an end-user and wish to update, delete, or receive any information we have about you, you may do so by contacting the organization of which you are a customer.

Such updates, corrections, changes, and deletions will have no effect on other information that we maintain or information that we have provided to third parties by this Privacy Policy before such update, correction, change, or deletion.
Sale of Business
We reserve the right to transfer information to a third party in the event of a sale, merger, or other transfer of all or substantially all of the assets of Deexial or any of its Corporate Affiliates (as defined herein), or that portion of Deexial or any of its Corporate Affiliates to which the Service relates, or if we discontinue our business or file a petition or have filed against us a petition in bankruptcy, reorganization or similar proceeding, provided that the third party agrees to adhere to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

-Cookies
We use cookies to enhance the performance and functionality of our website but are non-essential to their use. However, without these cookies, certain functionality like videos may become unavailable or you would be required to enter your login details every time you visit the website as we would not be able to remember that you had logged in previously.
We may allow third parties to use cookies and other similar technologies (such as web beacons, pixels, and SDKs) to recognize you and/or your device, and we also use these technologies ourselves (s). You can read our Cookie Policy to learn more about why we use cookies and how you can better control how often they are used by visiting our website.
There is a feature in certain web browsers known as "Do Not Track" (also abbreviated as "DNT") that communicates to websites that a user does not wish to have his or her online activity tracked. These web browsers include Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome. When a website that is configured to respond to a DNT signal receives a DNT signal, the user's browser may prevent the website in question from collecting certain information about the user of the browser. A Do Not Track (DNT) option is not available in every browser, and there is currently no standard for DNT signals. As a result of this, a lot of companies, including Deexial, do not respond to DNT signals at the moment.
Cookies allow us to provide, secure, and improve our services, just like other providers of online services do. This is accomplished, among other things, by remembering your preferences, recognizing you when you visit our website, measuring the success of our marketing campaigns, and personalizing and tailoring advertisements to your interests. To accomplish these goals, we may combine the information obtained from cookies with any other personally identifiable information we have stored about you.
If you use any of our services, the following categories of cookies may be installed on your device, in any combination.
Essential cookies: These cookies are required for us to be able to provide our services to you, such as allowing you to log in, remembering your preferences, and keeping you safe by detecting malicious activity. Among other things, they allow you to access your account information.
Cookies for analytics: These cookies help us understand how our services are being used, which enables us to customize and improve our offerings for each user.
Cookies for advertising and marketing: These cookies are used to determine how successful our marketing campaigns are and to make the advertisements that you see more relevant to you. They perform functions such as helping us understand how much traffic our marketing campaigns drive on our services, preventing the same ad from continuously reappearing, ensuring that ads are properly displayed for advertisers, selecting advertisements that are relevant to you, and measuring the number of ads displayed as well as their performance, such as the number of people who interacted with a particular ad.
Cookies for social networking: These cookies are used to enable you to share pages and content that you find interesting on our services through third-party social networking and other websites or services. Information about the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
We may be collecting and using information from you if you are from the European Economic Area (EEA), and in this section of our Privacy Policy, we are going to explain exactly how and why is this data collected, and how we maintain this data under protection from being replicated or used in the wrong way.
What is GDPR?
GDPR is an EU-wide privacy and data protection law that regulates how EU residents' data is protected by companies and enhances the control the EU residents have, over their data.
The GDPR is relevant to any globally operating company and not just the EU-based businesses and EU residents. Our users’ data is important irrespective of where they are located, which is why we have implemented GDPR controls as our baseline standard for all our operations worldwide.
What is personal data?
Any data that relates to an identifiable or identified individual. GDPR covers a broad spectrum of information that could be used on its own, or in combination with other pieces of information, to identify a person. Personal data extends beyond a person’s name or email address. Some examples include financial information, political opinions, genetic data, biometric data, IP addresses, physical addresses, sexual orientations, and ethnicity.
The Data Protection Principles include requirements such as:
- Personal data collected must be processed in a fair, legal, and transparent way and should only be used in a way that a person would reasonably expect.
- Personal data should only be collected to fulfill a specific purpose and it should only be used for that purpose. Organizations must specify why they need personal data when they collect it.
- Personal data should be held no longer than necessary to fulfill its purpose.
- People covered by the GDPR have the right to access their data. They can also request a copy of their data, and that their data be updated, deleted, restricted, or moved to another organization.
Why is GDPR important?
GDPR adds some new requirements regarding how companies should protect individuals' data that they collect and process. It also raises the stakes for compliance by increasing enforcement and imposing greater fines for breaches. Beyond these facts, it's simply the right thing to do. At Deexial we strongly believe that your data privacy is very important and we already have solid security and privacy practices in place that go beyond the requirements of this new regulation.
Individual Data Subject's Rights - Data Access, Portability, and Deletion
We are committed to helping our customers meet the data subject rights requirements of GDPR. Deexial processes or stores all personal data in fully vetted, DPA-compliant vendors. We do store all conversation and personal data for up to 6 years unless your account is deleted. In this case, we dispose of all data by our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, but we will not hold it for longer than 60 days.
We are aware that if you are working with EU customers, you need to be able to provide them with the ability to access, update, retrieve, and remove personal data. We got you! We've been set up as self-service from the start and have always given you access to your data and your customer's data. Our customer support team is here for you to answer any questions you might have about working with the API.
California Residents
The California Users Privacy Act (CCPA) requires us to disclose the categories of Personal Information we collect and how we use it, the categories of sources from whom we collect Personal Information, and the third parties with whom we share it, which we have explained above.
We are also required to communicate information about the rights California residents have under California law. You may exercise the following rights:
- Right to Know and Access. You may submit a verifiable request for information regarding the: (1) categories of Personal Information we collect, use, or share; (2) purposes for which categories of Personal Information are collected or used by us; (3) categories of sources from which we collect Personal Information; and (4) specific pieces of Personal Information we have collected about you.
- Right to Equal Service. We will not discriminate against you if you exercise your privacy rights.
- Right to Delete. You may submit a verifiable request to close your account and we will delete the Personal Information about you that we have collected.
- Request that a business that sells a consumer's data, not sell the consumer's data.
You also have the option of submitting your request through a registered agent. If you use an authorized agent to request access to or deletion of your personal information on your behalf, that agent must comply with certain requirements, including the following: (a) be a person or business entity registered with the California Secretary of State to conduct business in California; (b) provide proof of such registration; and (c) provide documentation or other proof proving they are authorized to act on your behalf. We might also ask you to directly authenticate your identification with us and you give the authorized agent permission to submit the request.
We kindly ask that you get in touch with us at [email protected] or WhatsApp at +2349038885253 to make such requests.
We will use the details linked to your account, including your email address, to verify your request. Moreover, official identification can be needed.
You may only submit an access request once per 12 months. Any disclosures we make will only be for the twelve months before receiving your request. If your verified user request isn't excessive, repeated, or unfounded, we won't charge you anything. Before moving forward with your request, we will let you know why we think the request is justified in charging a fee and give you an estimate of the cost.
How long do we keep your data?
We will only keep any of your personally identifiable information for as long as we continue to have a legitimate business need for it (as described in the prior section) and as long as the law allows us to do so. If you choose to no longer make use of our services, you have the option to close your account, at which point your profile will no longer be displayed to other members. Please be aware that your account will be terminated without further notice if it has not been accessed for two years. Following the closure of your account, we will delete your personal information in the manner that is detailed below:
We implement a safety retention window that lasts for one year after an account has been banned or for three months after an account has been closed. This is done to protect the safety and security of our users. During this time, we will keep your information in our files if it becomes necessary to investigate potentially illegal or harmful behavior. Our legitimate interests, as well as the interests of any potential third-party victims, necessitate the storage of this information throughout this safety retention window.
We will delete your data once the safety retention window has passed, and we will only keep limited information for specific purposes, as outlined in the following paragraphs:
1. We only keep the data that is required by law to be kept to comply with legal data retention obligations. In particular, we keep transaction data for 10 years to comply with legal requirements regarding taxes and accounting, credit card information for as long as the user can dispute the transaction, and "traffic data" / logs for one year to comply with legal requirements regarding data retention. In addition, we keep records of the consent that members give us for five years to demonstrate that we are by the applicable laws.
2. We keep limited information because it is in our legitimate interest to do so: we keep customer care records and supporting data as well as the imprecise location of downloads/purchases for five years to support our customer care decisions, enforce our rights, and enable us to defend ourselves in the event of a claim; information on the existence of past accounts and subscriptions is deleted three years after the closure of your last account to ensure that proper and accurate information is maintained; information on the existence of past accounts and subscriptions is deleted three years after the closure
3. Finally, we keep information because it is in our legitimate interest to do so whenever there is an existing or potential problem, claim, or dispute that requires us to do so (in particular, if we receive a valid legal subpoena or request asking us to preserve data (in which case we would need to keep the data to comply with our legal obligations) or if data would otherwise be necessary as part of legal proceedings).
Your rights regarding personal data
Because we want you to have complete command over the use of your personal information, we would like to draw your attention to the following choices and tools that are at your disposal:
Gain access to and make necessary updates to the service's tools. You can access, edit, or delete the information that you provided to us that is associated with your account directly within the platform with the help of the tools and settings associated with your account. Please get in touch with us so that we can assist you with any questions you may have regarding those tools and settings.
Device permissions. Mobile platforms can have permission systems for specific kinds of device data and notifications, such as phone contacts, pictures, location services, push notifications, and advertising identifiers. Examples of these kinds of data and notifications include push notifications, location services, and phone contacts. You can change the settings on your device to either agree to or object to the collection or processing of the corresponding information, as well as the display of the corresponding notifications. If you do that, the functionality of some of the services you use could be affected. The account has been closed. You can terminate your account by using the functionality that is specifically designed for that purpose on the service itself.
In addition to that, we want you to be aware of the rights you have regarding your privacy. The following are some of the most important things to keep in mind:
I'm going over the information you provided. You may have the right under applicable privacy laws to review the personal information that we keep about you in our records (depending on the jurisdiction, this may be called right of access, right of portability, right to know, or variations of those terms). You can make use of this right by submitting a request of this kind in this location.
Bringing your information up to date. If you believe that the information we hold about you is inaccurate or that we are no longer entitled to use it, and you want to request that it be rectified, deleted, or that its processing be objected to or restricted, please contact us here. If you believe that the information we hold about you is inaccurate or that we are no longer entitled to use it.
Before we can respond to any of the aforementioned questions or concerns, we reserve the right to request that you provide some form of identifying documentation, both for your safety and for the safety of every other member of our community.
Keep in mind that we reserve the right to refuse requests for a variety of reasons, such as if we are unable to authenticate you, if the request is unlawful or invalid, or if it may infringe on someone else's trade secrets, intellectual property, or privacy rights, among other rights. If you want to receive information about another member, such as a copy of any messages you received from them through our service, the other member will need to contact us to provide their written consent before the information can be released to you. For example, if you want to receive information relating to another member, such as a copy of any messages you received from them through our service. Before we can respond to the request, we might also ask them to provide some form of identification first.
In addition, it is possible that we will not be able to comply with certain requests to object to or restrict the processing of personal information. This is especially the case in situations in which such requests would prevent us from continuing to provide our service to you. For instance, we are unable to provide our service if you are unable to verify that you are at least 18 years old or if you are unable to provide us with the required information.
