Backend Engineer for High-Throughput Data Pipeline

Project Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Backend Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and maintenance of a high-throughput data pipeline. This pipeline is critical for processing large volumes of data in near real-time, supporting our core business operations and advanced analytics initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend services using Python and Go.
• Optimize existing data pipelines for performance and efficiency, focusing on reducing latency and improving throughput.
  
• Implement data validation and quality checks to ensure data integrity throughout the pipeline.
  
• Collaborate with data scientists and other engineers to define data requirements and build solutions to meet their needs.
  
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all backend systems and data pipelines.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines, ensuring minimal disruption to downstream processes.
  
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving the overall quality of our codebase.
  
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in backend development and data engineering.
  
• Implement monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address potential issues.
  

Required Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Python and Go programming languages.
  
• Experience with message queue technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  
• Deep understanding of data structures and algorithms.
  
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, MongoDB).
  
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  
• Familiarity with data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark or Apache Flink.
